  • Banff Pride isn’t just a one-week festival—we host events year-round! Whether it’s drag brunches, movie nights, OUTdoors hikes, or community meetups, we always need helping hands. Volunteers assist with setup, greeting guests, running activities, and making sure everyone has a great time.

  • Want to help make Banff and the Bow Valley more inclusive year-round? Join our advocacy efforts! Volunteers help spread awareness, promote inclusivity, and support 2SLGBTQIA+ rights in the community. This could mean sharing resources, attending town hall meetings, supporting DEI initiatives, or simply being a visible ally.

  • Banff Pride Festival is our biggest event of the year, and we need all hands on deck! Help with event setup, assist performers, greet guests, run the info booth, sell merch, or be part of the parade & march team. Whether you’re behind the scenes or front and center, you’ll help make Pride unforgettable.

  • Want to take your involvement to the next level? Banff Pride’s volunteer board is made up of passionate individuals who help shape the organization, plan initiatives, and ensure we keep growing. If you have experience in non-profits, governance, finance, or event planning (or just a big heart for community work), consider applying for a board position!

  • Supporting 2SLGBTQIA+ youth is a key part of our mission. Volunteers in this area help organize youth-focused events, mentorship opportunities, and safe spaces. If you have experience in mentorship, youth work, or just want to help create inclusive spaces, this is a great way to make a difference!

  • Help keep Banff Pride thriving! Volunteers in fundraising assist with grant applications, donor outreach, sponsorship development, and fundraising events like silent auctions, drag bingo, and community campaigns. If you have experience in sales, marketing, or just love getting people excited about supporting a cause, we’d love your help!

How do I sign up to volunteer?

Easy! Just fill out our volunteer form and we’ll get in touch with you. You can also email us at info@banffpride.ca if you have questions.

Do I need experience to volunteer?

Nope! All you need is enthusiasm and a willingness to help. We’ll provide all the training and support you need.

Where do Banff Pride events take place?

Most of our events happen in Banff and Canmore, but we occasionally have programs in surrounding areas. Check our event calendar for details!

How much time do I need to commit?

It’s totally up to you! Some roles require just a few hours (like helping at an event), while others (like fundraising or board positions) might involve a longer-term commitment. Whatever your availability, we have a spot for you.

Do I have to be part of the 2SLGBTQIA+ community to volunteer?

Not at all! We welcome everyone—whether you’re part of the community or a proud ally. The most important thing is that you’re supportive, inclusive, and ready to celebrate!

Can I volunteer with a group of friends or coworkers?

Absolutely! We love when groups volunteer together. If you’re part of a business, school, or community group, let us know and we’ll find a way to get you involved as a team.
